Looking at Life – Keys to Navigating Young Adulthood

As part of our efforts to add value to our TEP stds, we have invited a speaker from Focus on the Family/MCYs to give a talk to our stds. Details of the talk are as follow: Date : Friday, August 21, 2009 Time : 1) 11:30am – 12:30pm (For morning shift & half of full shift) 2) 1:30pm – 2:30pm (For afternoon shift & half of full shift) * Light refreshments will be provided Venue: LTC2 Topic: Looking at Life – Keys to Navigating Young Adulthood Speaker : Don Lowe Content Outline : Are youth irresponsible and reckless… or has life just gotten more difficult and challenging for them? In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, young people face increasing pressure to “have it all” – academic excellence, multiple achievements, social life, money – which can come at the expense of self, family and other relationships. Discover life skills this generation needs as they navigate life at top speed. Through this talk, students will learn about: • Life Pressures – A look at the pressures of this generation • Life Keys – Finding the job, Discovering my gifts, Managing money & Building relationships • Life Matters – What is real success? What makes life significant? Session 1 11.30am - 12.30pm Session 2 1.30pm - 2.30pm We will have 50% of old batch + 50% of new batch to go for 1 session and the rest on another session. And we will have to schedule our farewell after the talk. |
